Our Mission
Birthday cakes are a tradition many of us grow up with—but not everyone has that experience.
Our founder spent five years without a birthday cake while navigating the realities of being in care and experiencing youth homelessness.
That gap is exactly why our work matters—because every young person deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and supported.
Our History
Never CakeLess was created out of our deep commitment to the communities we serve. Through our work with youth across our programs, we’ve heard countless stories of young people going without recognition for their birthdays or personal achievements.
This issue is deeply personal to our founder, who, as a teenager, went five years without a birthday cake or any form of celebration.
We believe this is a gap we can close—together.
At the Phoenix Arise Foundation, we’re often asked how people can make a meaningful difference. This is one way. By volunteering your time to bake a cake for a young person’s birthday or milestone, you can help create a moment they’ll never forget.
